PRESS RELEASE
Shooting
PULLMAN – On Sunday, February 7, 2016 at about 8:19 pm, Pullman Police and Fire were dispatched to a shooting call at Sevdy's Trailer Park, 605 NW Fisk Street. Upon arrival officers contacted James Gray, a 55 year-old male Pullman resident, who said he shot a male he was having an argument with. Officers detained Mr. Gray and quickly located the weapon, a 32 caliber revolver.
The victim had run away from the scene, but returned and contacted officers. The victim, a 34 year-old male Pullman resident, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Pullman Regional Hospital. The victim was able to talk with officers and indicated that Mr. Gray shot him during an argument. The victim has since been transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane with non-life threatening injuries. James Gray was arrested for Assault First Degree and transported to the Whitman County Jail in Colfax. The shooting took place outside of a trailer and the specifics of the circumstances that prompted the argument are still under investigation.
