*Looks like the Latah Alliance on Mental Illness is having an interesting
meeting this week:*

Got this from the Latah Alliance on Mental Illness. Looks like a good one!
Looking forward to seeing you all next Thursday (Oct. 22) at 7 p.m. at the
1912 Center! We will have one of the following programs:

    1. Dealing with Dual Addictions in which a mental illness is
experienced in connection with alcoholism or drug use and the coverups

of the family due to stigma and shame. This program will feature Patrick
Kennedy in "60 minutes" program on CBS television this month.

We are waiting for the DVD to arrive!

    2. Do you know what to do in a mental health crisis? Using
information from the Fall edition of the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental
Illness) Advocate, lessons from Sharlisa Davis and the WRAP program and
personal experience from Jane Pritchett of the Latah Alliance, we will
discuss how fear can be alleviated by preparation and creating a network of
support.

For any questions, call Jane at (208) 882-7743 or email <
