Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center Awaits Arrival of Paddles the Moose

May 29, 2015 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow is awaiting the arrival of Paddles the Moose, the new toddler water slide feature to be installed at the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center.  This will require a delayed opening of the facility from June 8 to June 12.  City officials have determined the Center will stay open a week later to honor the value of season passes.

The slide was manufactured and distributed through facilities in San Marcos, Texas.  Due to the floods in that region, shipment of the slide was delayed.  The City of Moscow's thoughts are with those affected in the northern Texas floods.

The City will continue to prepare for the opening of the pool and the installation of the new feature.  The pool must remain dry to allow for proper installation of the slide including drying and curing time for the epoxy needed in the installation process.
