[Vision2020] Ted Cruz launches 2016 presidential run

Is it crystal clear? No.

But here is an excerpt from one article you could choose to read if you really are curious:

'So what is a "natural born" citizen? The Constitution doesn’t specifically say.

In 2008, we reviewed research and polled several legal experts. The consensus
was that someone is a "natural born" citizen if they have citizenship
at birth and don’t have to go through a naturalization process to become
 a citizen.

If that’s the definition, then Cruz is a natural born citizen by
being born to an American mother and having her citizenship at birth.
(This same logic would apply to Obama, even if he were born in another
country, which he wasn’t.)

The Congressional Research Service published
a report on the issue after the 2008 election; the agency is tasked
with providing authoritative research to all members of Congress. It,
too, supported the thinking that "natural born" citizenship means
citizenship held "at birth."

But the Supreme Court -- the ultimate arbiter of constitutional
questions -- has never ruled on the matter. And that means a note of
uncertainty remains.' http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2013/aug/20/ted-cruz-born-canada-eligible-run-president/

And from NPR:

'Cruz's parents worked in the oil industry in Calgary, Canada, when he
was born. His mother was born in the United States. His father was born
in Cuba, but later became a U.S. resident. Cruz argues that because his
mother was born in Delaware, he is, in fact, a "natural-born citizen."

Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states, "No
Person except a natural born Citizen...shall be eligible to the Office
of President."

        U.S. Constitution

And most legal scholars agree. In fact, two of the best-known
Supreme Court lawyers — who are not normally on the same side — make the
case that Cruz, as were McCain, George Romney and Goldwater, is
eligible to run.
Neal Katyal, who served as acting solicitor
general in the Obama administration, and Paul Clement, who was solicitor
general under George W. Bush, wrote earlier this month in the Harvard Law Review that "there is no question" Cruz is eligible.
   They
say that because Cruz's mother was a U.S. citizen and his father was a
U.S. resident, "Cruz has been a citizen from birth and is thus a
'natural born Citizen' within the meaning of the Constitution" and the
"Naturalization Act of 1790."'

Now the Supreme Court could agree with you if this is taken up. Do I think it will? No.

No, Mr. Crabtree. This does not require extensive Constitutional knowledge, just a fundamental grasp of the English language.
I ask again . . .
What is your definition of "natural born citizen"?

Funny, You go to the trouble of trying to support your contention by actually typing out article 2, section 1, clause five of the constitution and fail to realize that the word "in" isn't used so much as once.
That said, I believe myself to be a humble man and am willing to defer to your vastly superior grasp of constitutional law if you will simply cite the court case that definitively states what a natural born citizen is.

The citizenship of BHO's mother had nothing to do with BHO's citizenship. BHO was born . . . in 1964 . . . in Hawaii (five years after Hawaii and Alaska attained statehood).
The Constitution REQUIRES that presidents be at least 35 years of age and "naturally born" in the United States.
Clause 5 of the Constitution of the United States
"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
Nope. No mention of mommies or daddies.
