June 14, 2015 (Moscow, Idaho) - On Saturday, June 13, 2015, officers with the City of Moscow Police Department responded to 16 vehicle prowls. All but one was reported within a four block area just south of Mountain View Park. A total of 23 vehicles had been entered and rummaged through between Friday evening (6/12) and Saturday morning (6/13) at the following locations:

* 800 Block of North Ford Street (six)

* 800 Block of North Kennedy Street (four)

* 800 Block North Truman Street (two)

* 600 North Eisenhower Street (one)

*        2300 Concord Avenue (two)

*        1500 Northwood Drive (one)

It appears that the suspect(s) are targeting unlocked vehicles and taking assorted items left in the vehicle.
As a reminder, vehicle burglaries are usually a crime of opportunity. To avoid being a victim, please take a moment and ensure your vehicle is locked and that all valuable items are taken out of the vehicle, put in the trunk or placed out of sight.

The City of Moscow Police Department is asking anyone with information related to these burglaries or observes any suspicious individual(s) in your neighborhood please call 882-COPS (2677).
