Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for June 6th

June 1, 2015 (Moscow, Idaho) – Join us Saturday, June 6th for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Music: Live music at Friendship Square will be provided by Tiffany Midge, Moscow Poet Laureate at 9:30 a.m. followed by Palouse Jazz Project at 11:00 a.m.

Special Events: The Market will feature a Tai Chi warm up with the University of Idaho Confucius Institute from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. by the playground equipment in Friendship Square. The City of Moscow Public Works Department from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. by the fountain. The Moscow Arts Commission from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. by the fountain. Also, don’t miss the City of Moscow High Five Passport Program’s Kids Cooking Class from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. next to the City Tent (by the clock in Friendship Square).

Vendor of the Week: River City Farm from Lewiston, ID. Product highlights include:  radishes, herbs, sorrel, spinach, summer squash, swiss chard, tatsoi, zucchini, and more. River City Farm has been a vendor in the Moscow Farmers Market since the fall of 2014.

Shop the Market: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent, by the clock in Friendship Square, to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.


Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
