"Another successful group effort was the first Vandal Town Block Party held downtown as a way to welcome UI students and their parents to Moscow and show off the city's downtown area by offering live music and other attractions. [Moscow Mayor] Lambert, who originally proposed the event, said more than 1,000 people showed up. He publicly announced his idea during his State of the City address last year.

At that point, "I had a vision but no idea how to do it," he said, adding the city and chamber, specifically Jen Pfiffner and Gina Taruscio, helped put the event together.
It was "a wonderful time," he said, adding he'd like to see it become an annual event."

" . . . more than 1,000 people showed up." Huh?

A great success, huh?

Judge for yourselves, V-Peeps.
