PRESS RELEASE
City of Moscow Trimming Tree Branches to Maintain Fiber Optic Cables

September 30, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow Information Systems Department has arranged for the trimming of tree branches near the City of Moscow Fiber Optic Cables. Lacy-K Tree Service crews began trimming on Monday September 29, 2014 and work is scheduled to be completed by October 17th.

Tree branch trimming protects cables from damage in freezing rain and other storms and keeps squirrels away from fiber cables to reduce outages and expensive repairs. Trimming is happening throughout the community and will be maintained annually.

Questions or concerns should be directed to Jesse Flowers, Information Systems Director at 208.883.7121.
