PRESS RELEASE
City of Moscow Seeks Feedback on Park Name Recommendation

September 29, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) - A responsibility of the City of Moscow Parks and Recreation Commission is to research and develop name recommendations for parks for presentation to the City Council for approval. The Commission has recently been charged with developing a name recommendation for the park to be developed in the Rolling Hills subdivision on Itani Drive. At the Commission's September 25 meeting they agreed to formally recommend the name "Itani Park" for the Council's consideration.

Following the development of a recommendation, a 60-day comment period is opened to gather public input on the suggested name. This public comment period will run through November 24, 2014. Comments may be submitted to the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center in writing at 1724 East F Street, Moscow, Idaho or by email to Eric Newell, enewell at ci.moscow.id.us<mailto:enewell at ci.moscow.id.us>.

Public input will be reviewed and considered by the Parks and Recreation Commission at their December 4, 2014 meeting, when a final recommendation will be agreed upon for submission to the City Council. All Parks and Recreation Commission meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held at 5:15 at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center located at 1724 East F Street, Moscow, Idaho.

For more information, please contact Eric Newell, Recreation Supervisor, at 208.883.7089 or by email, enewell at ci.moscow.id.us<mailto:enewell at ci.moscow.id.us>.
