Thanks for being there, Chief.

The reassurance realized by your assistance, and that of your department, is immeasurable in ensuring the safety of our community.

Sidebar: My concern for potential hazards brought on by flying a drone in populated regions gives me cause to donate (not sell) the "Moscow Cares" drone and carrying case to an entity that can dedicate more time and effort in its operation and maintenance. Suggestions?

Thanks again.

We contacted the school district and they said they do not use drones for any special events or projects at this time. Neither the LCSO or MPD use drones or even plan on incorporating this tool in the future based on the restrictions placed on our agencies by Idaho Code. No one at the PD knows of anyone owning a drone, other than you. There are many remote control toy aircraft used by hobbyist in the community but unsure if this craft was one which got away from the operator. No other sightings or complaints have been received but I will keep this incident in mind if any other complaints arise in reference to similar sightings.

I ask this question because I consider such activity to be a threat to the safety of the Moscow community. I have thought it over carefully and extensively. I have decided not to fly the "Moscow Cares" drone (pictured below) over people or a location with the potential of inhabiting people.
