Mother nature didn't put those trees there, city government did, and city
government is actually putting *more* trees back.

 

City government is also doing what they can to make that a more walkable
area, putting less emphasis on vehicles and more enhancements for
pedestrians.

Yes.  The sidewalk on the west side of Jackson, from the Salvation Army
outlet to (what soon will be) Jimmy Johns, will be expanded to encompass
what is now the right-turn lane, as discussed at the September 8th meeting
of Public Works and Finance.

I'm sure that although these trees have been "obstacles" for quite some
time, it is mere coincidence that all this sidewalk expansion is becoming
reality just a few short weeks after EMSI (NSA's local temp agency) arrived
on Jackson Street . . . right?
