Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for September 13th

September 8, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) – Join us Saturday, September 13th for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Music: Live music at Friendship Square will be provided by Potatohead at 9:30 a.m. and UI Jazz Combo at 11:45 a.m.

Special Events: The Market will feature the Tree Commission in the City Tent from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; the Master Gardeners from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; the Palouse Plein Air 2014 Quick Draw; and the City of Moscow High Five Passport program will host a kid’s cooking class from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Palouse Plein Air 2014 is an 8 day painting competition for local, regional, and national artists. Artists participating in the Quick Draw will be painting at the Market on September 13th. All entries in the Quick Draw will be placed on display at the Market and the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. The winning entry will be announced at 11:30 a.m.

The City of Moscow High Five Passport Program kid’s cooking class featuring Crisp Fruit Salad will be led by Ashlee Wall, a local Resident Dietician. Classes will be offered Saturday September 13th at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.

Vendor of the Week: Taylormade Bakery is located in Moscow, ID. Product highlights include:  homemade baked goods including gluten free options, breads, cakes, brownies, cookies, jams, jellies, handmade aprons, baby items, quilts, and more. Taylormade Bakery has been a vendor in the Moscow Farmers Market for 25 years.

Shop the Market: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.


Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
