Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for September 6th

September 2, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) – Join us Saturday, September 6th for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Music: Live music at Friendship Square will be provided by Hog Heaven Big Band at 9:30 a.m. and The Palouse Project at 11:45 a.m.

Special Events: The Market will feature the Human Rights Commission in the City Tent from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; the Human Rights Day from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; and the City of Moscow High Five Passport program will host a fruit and vegetable tasting from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The City of Moscow High Five Passport Program fruit and veggie tasting will be led by Gritman Medical Center Nutrition Services. Children participating in the Program will taste pears and peppers provided by Market Vendors.

Vendor of the Week: Sumptuous Soaps is located in Pullman, WA. Product highlights include:  soap, bath and skin care products. Sumptuous Soaps has been a vendor in the Moscow Farmers Market for 10 years.

Shop the Market: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.


Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
