Moscow Mayor's Arts Awards Announced

October 10, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) - The 2014 City of Moscow's Mayor's Arts Awards recipients have been selected and celebration gala has been scheduled.  The gala will be held on October 16, 2014 at the 1912 Center Great Room located at 412 East Third Street, Moscow, Idaho at 7 p.m.  The event is open to the public.  Free refreshments and a no-host bar will be provided.

The Mayor's Arts Awards are designed to recognize individuals and organizations that have shown substantial support of the arts. Moscow Mayor Bill Lambert made the difficult selections from a great nomination pool.  Those winners include:


*        Bill Voxman - Individual Excellence in the Arts

*        Kristin Becker - Achievement in the Arts

*        Myron Schreck - Arts Advocacy

*        Bill Bowler - Lifetime Achievement

*        Tom Crossler - Lifetime Achievement

The Mayor's Arts Awards program is a biennial program and previous award recipients include:
George Roberts, Goran Fazil, Jennifer Bogut, Hon Anderson, Moscow Food Co-op, Phil and LeAnn Lee, Earl Aldrich, Lynn "Doc" Skinner, Nikki Crathorne, Betsy Dickow, Joy Passanante, William & Linda Wharton, Shelley Bennett, Audrey Barr, Micki Panttaja, Mary DuPree, Louise Colson, Scott Dockins-Presnell Gage, Mary Banks, Alfred Dunn, Genevera Sloan, Sally Machlis, Robert Greene, Joann Muneta, Daniel Bukvich, Forrest Sears, Peter Basoa, and The Bode Family.
