It doesn't seem to have much of an impact when anyone writes that they
left v2020 and won't be coming back because of Tom's repeated
boorishness or because of the several people who have called out Tom on
his boorish posts. Even in the below thread, Walter informs Tom 'I
stopped reading 2020 years ago when you started injecting uninformed
opinions on every topic under the sun and I just couldn't take it
anymore.' Walter isn't alone, but I'm guessing the attitude of Tom and
his supporters is 'good riddance' as if more of Tom's posts and less of
others' posts somehow makes for better for the viz.
To recap:
1) Tom thinks it's funny to make fun of those on the city council.
2)
Tom tells Walter if he can't the heat, he should get out of the kitchen
- direct quote 'If you are offended by such postings, perhaps you
should avoid the public arena as a city council member.'
3) Tom challenges Walter with 'In my twenty years in the Army, I have been called everything but Tom. I
learned to live with it (even expect it in some circumstances). How
about you?'
#3 above is the biggest joke. Tom doesn't have thick
skin which is why his fragile feelings are so easily hurt when anyone
tells him to 'knock it off' and yet he taunts others for not having
thick skin when they respond directly about the vitriol he's hurled in
their direction in a chickenshit manner.
I don't know how to make it any more clear so maybe I'll just emulate a typical Tom post and write:
'You might think it's OK for Tom to regularly post boorish material to v2020, but I DON'T!!'.

This seems like an odd stance for someone who will happily cast all conservatives, Republicans, and tea party supporters as ignorant, bigoted, fascist, and crazy when it come to your own communications with the world around you. (prevailing winds Saturday, September 7, 2013)
Why is calling one person out on a single demonstrable fault so much more awful than making broad generalizations and accusations about folks you've never met and never will?
Maybe it's not V2020 that brings out the worst in you.

But to just fart something out about a man and his work/efforts/behavior on Vision, as Scott did here? Not fair, and a reason why I doubt seriously I'll be coming back.
