Race is definitely an issue with anything associated with the KKK.  It's also an issue for ANYONE who wants to make it an issue about ANYTHING.  It's an issue where statistics show inequality.  I'd contend that the race was the only reason the Ferguson case was taken to the grand jury in the first place.  I'd guess that less 1% fatal shootings by police officers ever go before a grand jury.
