GOP voted against vets
Once again the Republican Party proves it is no friend to us veterans. This time via the U.S. Senate Republicans.

This past February, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and 40 of his Republican partners in crime blocked the Omnibus Veterans Spending bill from receiving an up-or-down vote. This bill was supported by every service organization, e.g., the American Legion, VFW, Paralyzed Veterans of America.

The veterans spending bill the Senate Republicans blocked in February would have improved health and dental care services and allowed the Department of Veterans Affairs to open 27 new clinics and medical facilities.

Idaho Sens. Mike Crapo and Jim Risch both voted against this bill. Any veteran voting Republican is not only voting against his own best interests, but against the interests of his fellow veterans. It’s time Idaho’s veterans who vote Republican woke up and start voting for what is best for Idaho’s veterans, and that would not be voting Republican.

No Senate Democrats voted against the Omnibus Veterans Spending bill.
