PRESS RELEASE
City of Moscow seeking proposals for name of new park

July 7, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow Parks and Recreation Commission is gathering suggestions for potential names for the soon to be completed park located within the Indian Hills 8th Subdivision. Suggestions are welcome from all community members and the immediate neighbors for the park are being surveyed specifically. All suggestions are due by July 22, 2014. Community members interested in suggesting a name may do so in person at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center, 1716 East F Street; by mail to Indians Hills 8 Naming, PO Box 9203, Moscow, Idaho 83843; or via email to enewell at ci.moscow.id.us<mailto:enewell at ci.moscow.id.us>.

The Commission will review all suggestions at their July 24, 2014 meeting. At that time, suggestions will be vetted and a recommendation will be developed that will be open to public comment for 60 days, the start of which will be noticed via press release to local media outlets. After that time, adjustments to the name and a final recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for their consideration and potential approval of an official name.

For more information, please contact Eric Newell, Recreation Supervisor, at 208.883.7089 or by email, enewell at ci.moscow.id.us<mailto:enewell at ci.moscow.id.us>.
