And naturally, Snowden (champion of the peoples' right to privacy) sought an ally in this righteous pursuit.  

And who better than Russia, headed by Putin (former chief of the KGB), can offer such an alliance.

There is one question:  Just what did Mr. Snowden provide to the Russian government for such an extended stay . . . huh, Eddie, honey?
