Reliable word has it that the megaload at Wilma is packed and ready to roll.  A simple phone call from Boise could put it on 95 headed north.

I will be waiting for it (cameras at the ready) when it enters Moscow . . . tonight . . . tomorrow . . . Sunday . . . next week . . . or next month.

> January 10, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) — The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has shared information that Mammoet Transportation has applied for oversize loads permits to potentially travel as soon as late January.  In an effort to provide the best information to the Moscow community, the City of Moscow is hosting a workshop to get additional information on the nature and type of the loads expected to be transported on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m.  Participants will include Moscow City and Latah County officials, representatives from the ITD, state and local law enforcement, and the transport company to discuss the nature and movement of these oversized loads and any potential risks the loads may pose to public safety and City and County public infrastructure.

Mayor Bill Lambert explains, “As we work with our partner agencies and in an effort to facilitate the best information sharing possible on a limited timeline while respecting each of the participants and our community, it is extremely important that citizens submit their comments and questions prior to the workshop so they can be shared and discussed to the best extent possible.”

> Projected movement of the first load is expected to be scheduled for late January and if approved, would be moved in four shifts to reach its destination in Great Falls, Montana.  When in motion, loads are anticipated to travel at about 25 miles per hour, with dead-stop delays.  The City has been informed that expected shifts for movement include:
