[Vision2020] A tribute to...

You are free to believe whatever you want, Mr. Dredge..

The song "American Pie" makes reference to February. This is not mere coincidence, Mr. Dredge.

"But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver.
Bad News on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step."

Coupled with the songs lyrics, ". . . the day the music died" that establish a link to Buddy Holly's "That'll be the day that I die" is unquestionable.

FYI: Buddy Holly was killed in the plane crash . . . on FEBRUARY 3, 1959.

However, as I prefaced this posting . . .

You are free to believe whatever you want.

'Nuff said.

But first you must learn how to smile as you kill,
If you want to be like the folks on the hill."

This was the day that the music died on December 6, 1969 marking the end of the failed experiment of the 1960s due to too many dope smoking pot heads that comprised the 'generation lost in space'. I'd encourage you to 'maybe dig a little deeper instead of constantly shooting from the hip', but there would be an echo in here (http://mailman.fsr.com/pipermail/vision2020/2012-December/087985.html) and I'd be sounding like a broken record. And note that a broken record in itself could very well be considered 'the day the music died' to someone somewhere sometime.

Oh...and you might consider watching the video I posted. I find it to be rather heartbreaking.
