LOL, Darrell – better lay off that nip of anything because it’s Sunday night, not Saturday night :)

Hmm. It's Saturday night. I might like a nip of something. But, I don't care to go to Pullman for the bud.

First you start with garbage like this, Darrell, next you'll be linking subjects that have nothing to do with each other and shrieking wildly. For your own good, nip it in the bud.

That's garbage, Mr. Keim.

Explain why Hawkins Companies hasn't, since 2008, developed the Hawkins Mall?

The easy response here: One can argue that an event like this is designed to invest in our cities businesses. Helping them grow. Maybe even attracting more businesses in a friendly, healthy economic environment. Businesses that will... wait for it... pay taxes!

What do you mean by "income"?

Are you suggesting that the fee should be looked at as frivolous revenue?

In case you missed the headlines, Mr. Dredge, the city is undergoing a very tight budget. All funds received are ear-marked to support city costs.

The costs to which this "income" would have been paid remain due and payable. Applying this "income" to any city costs (i.e. city council cell-phone stipends) would serve to "lighten the load" incurred by city tax-payers.

Agreed that's a good place to start. Does anyone know the total of the tab?

Tom asks:
<How many times have people on the Viz trashed Nancy Chaney when she was mayor?>

I can answer with certainty that the number of times that 'people on the Viz trashed Nancy Chaney when she was mayor' is exactly ZERO and I contend that neither you nor anyone else would be able to find anything in viz archives to the contrary.

And how ironic is it that you, the master of regularly spewing immature comments, would be complaining about anyone else engaging in trash talk?

No, Sunil.

The animosity I expressed is strictly mine, ok?

I made reference to others criticizing then-mayor Chaney to prevent the predictable onslaught of "Don't make nasty comments about Mayor Lambert" comments.

The opinions I express are strictly my own. Thank God I live in the Nifty Fifty (USA) where I can freely and openly express them. Right?

I DISLIKE MAYOR LAMBERT AND ALL THE OTHER GMA (Giving Moscow Away) LEMMINGS!

There. I said it.

Tom,

I was trying to follow my own advice just now and save that in my draft box. So while I've told you that's what you should do with lots of your posts, I recognize that might be harder to accomplish than I thought.

I don't expect you or anyone else to apologize for having different views from mine. But you just confirmed what I said: You're criticizing Bill because other people criticized Nancy. Not many people look sharp using that tactic.

You want other people to be mad the Council is picking up the tab? Maybe a good starting point is figuring out how big the tab is: Then we can decide if we think it's a wise way to spend funds. So tell us what the tab is.

This event should stand on its own merits. It's got nothing to do with who got sent to Iraq, or how other people were treated. I'm not going to judge it on irrelevant factors, and I doubt many other people will.

Sunil
