But I am loath to rejoin V2020, yet at the same time would like someone 
to ask Tom how a much needed and overdue downtown function that would 
serve to at least begin to reestablish a good town/gown relationship 
with the U of I a bad thing?  It's the sort of thing Moscow needs to do 
more of to ameliorate what has become a lack of caring between the 
University of Idaho and it's host city.  Let's give the students/faculty
 a reason to care about Moscow with events like this.  With Tom, I think
 it all boils down to the chance it might give some ancillary benefit to
 some Kirker businesses that are downtown.  And that just cannot be 
allowed, by God.   He's not looking at the more important, larger 
picture.  This isn't about the Kirkers, it's about "Welcome to Moscow, 
students, here's a sample of what our town can offer." By far the largest student populace to benefit would be Vandals, with (horror of horrors) some collateral goodwill with some NSA students.  Carl
