Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for August 16th

August 11, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) – Join us Saturday, August 16th for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Music: Live music at Friendship Square will be provided by Sweet Adelines at 9:30 a.m. and Saunders Sisters at 11:45 a.m.

Special Events: The Market will feature a kid’s cooking class hosted by the City of Moscow High Five Passport Program. Classes will be offered at 8:30 am, 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 11:30 am. Ashlee Wall, a local Resident Dietician, will be teaching how to make Berry Freezer Jam, in honor of International Can-It-Forward Day.

Vendor of the Week: Hagen’s Orchard is located in Clarkston, WA. Product highlights include:  apricots, cucumbers, peaches, zucchini, and more. Hagen’s Orchard has been a vendor in the Moscow Farmers Market for 34 years.

Shop the Market: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.


Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
