For those who have not been informed of the history of, and Mayor Chaney's response to, Mr. Price concerning his complaint, here 'tis . . .

Dear Mr. Price,

As a proponent of full disclosure and transparency, I feel compelled to point out that you emailed me with your complaint at 1:34 this afternoon. When I read your message at 2:42, I immediately asked staff to address it. I followed up with a cordial reply to you at 2:47, and City staff has since addressed your concerns, and let you know that they will be reviewing the policy for placement of barricades. As government action goes, that’s a reasonably nimble response. In this circumstance, as City staff informed you, their objective was to not obstruct the sidewalk, and to place the barricades on City right-of-way. Their actions had nothing to do with your political preferences, and it is unfair and inaccurate to suggest that they would.

Please understand that employees of the City work for all of us, and our whole community. Barricades are intended to help protect personal property and public safety.

Sincerely,

Nancy J. Chaney, Mayor
City of Moscow

Ron,

I'm fully aware of why they are out, it is the where that I object to!
They now been moved from my yard to the neighbors yard!
Too bad that instead of barricades they weren't "mega-loads" then everyone on the list would be upset! *S*

THIS is typical of the little regard that the current city administration has for private property, and it's time for a change!

They also visibly block the political sign I have in my yard support Bill Lambert for Mayor, which is either just an error or a purposeful act, but either way, the city has NO permission to store the barricades IN MY YARD and I'd like them removed immediately.
