PRESS RELEASE
National Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative
October 25, 2013 (Moscow, Idaho) - The Moscow Police Department, City of Moscow Sustainable Environment Commission, and the Latah County Youth Advocacy Council are teaming up again with the Drug Enforcement Administration for a National Take Back Initiative. This program is a nationwide program allowing anyone and everyone to drop off their unwanted medications.
The Moscow Police Department is inviting anyone who wants to dispose of their unwanted medications to bring them to the Farmers Market on Saturday, October 26th, 2013. The drop off site will be located at the City tent on the east side of Friendship Square between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. An officer will be present to take possession of the medications to ensure proper disposal.
Community members are also able to drop off unwanted medications at the Moscow Police Department, 118 East 4th Street, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The drug drop slot is located in the front lobby next to the service window.
We are still unable to accept liquid medications or any needles. If you have any questions please contact Officer Phil Gray at 208.883.7051.
