[Vision2020] Fw: Shutdown Panic

There really isn't a much better way than having a two party system considering the way the voting rules are constructed. Even if a third viable party with enough candidates were to emerge, power brokering would still be needed to align this third party with either the Republicans or the Democrats to get anything passed through Congress. I'd rather have gridlock on contentious issues rather than having a flush of either party consolidating control of the House, Senate, & White House.
The Demoncats are actually doing OK. It's the Republicans who are screwing up the whole thing with their anti-government and anti-tax rhetoric. We need a strong national fiscal policy (which I believe we already have even with a dynamic debt ceiling) along with balance and collaboration between government, education, the private sector, and all laborers. It's time to pass the budget and move on to other things.
