PRESS RELEASE

Title: 30 • 30 • 30 Art Event Call for Artists

October 08, 2013 – The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission are seeking artists to participate in the Third Street Gallery’s upcoming art event titled 30 • 30 • 30.

The 30 • 30 • 30 is a month long art event where each participant will create 30 works of art during a 30 day time frame and sell these works for $30 each in a one day art exhibition. The 30 • 30 • 30 is open to all artists 18 years and older who work in 2D – painting, fiber art, photography, drawing, encaustic, mixed media, printmaking, etc. All participants will be charged a $30 entry fee. All participants will be provided with thirty (30) - 6”x6” canvas board panels labeled specially for the 30 • 30 • 30 event.

The 30 • 30 • 30 is limited to 30 participants. A call for artists will be released at 9:00 a.m. on October 10, 2013. Applications will be available at Moscow City Hall (206 East Third Street) or can be downloaded from the 30 • 30 • 30 webpage. The cutoff date for applications is October 17, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. or until 30 participants apply, whichever comes first.

All work must be original and created during the 30 • 30 • 30 art event by the solo artist.

Artists whose medium is not best suited for a canvas board may create their work(s) on alternate material and adhere the finished work to the canvas board provided. Please ensure that all works submitted in this format are in good condition and will withstand the ordinary strains of packing, transportation, and exhibition. Work may have a relief of 2-inches. Please note that no work may extend beyond the edges of the 6”x6” canvas board.
