[Vision2020] election results

Rose,

What specific changes to Moscow do you envision?  Obviously the clear majority of the voters were unhappy with the incumbent mayor.  Since the voters clearly wanted a change, It makes me wonder why she didn't simply step aside an allow a more electable candidate run in her place.  Maybe there wasn't any available polling data and / or perhaps Tom's sleazy  photo campaign backfired.

Last night after reading the results this scripture sprang immediately to mind.   "They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no head; it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.” Hosea 8:7 It is my thought that those of you who chose to support GMA candidates will not enjoy the changes that will occur in Moscow over the next couple of years – including (following the next election) a couple of new city council members, an LEDC director, and  GMA leadership whose allegiance will be to a right wing, tea party loving, self anointed, evangelical pastor.  It didn’t take a genius to see this coming, but it will take one to undo the damage.
