Downtown Bench Program Announced

May 30, 2013 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow is seeking help to revitalize the downtown seating areas on Main Street between Sixth and First streets by adding new benches supported by sponsors.  Benches may be sponsored by businesses, groups, or individuals and dedicated in a manner determined by the sponsor.

Each bench including purchase, delivery, installation, and commemorative memorial plaque costs $1,600.  The benches will replace deteriorating, aged, and damaged benches. New benches will be placed three per block on both sides of Main Street.  The benches, specifically designed to complement the historic fabric of Moscow's downtown, are modeled after a design from 1890.
