This Sunday May 12 our topic will be *"Make Them Hear You: Social Change at
the Turn of the Century"* and feature selections from the 1998 Original
Cast Recording of *Ragtime *which is very (and I mean VERY) loosely based
on the novel of the same title by E.L. Doctrow.

Due to the total amount of music on the cast album we'll be doing an
abridged version and cutting about 45 minutes of non-essential music from
the show, following the format of the reduced run
time community theater script.

This will be the second to last episode of my show for KRFP's spring
season... the first season finale will air Sunday May 19... My goal has
been to enlighten and excite my listeners about the music of Broadway - as
well as educate them on the actors/actresses, composers and producers of
some of my favorite Broadway productions. This has been a very specific
body of work designed to be a "must listen" each week - and when we
conclude the season next week there will be 30 hours of programming for you
to go back and listen to in our archives. It makes great iPod fodder for
working in the yard or jogging to. (Available on our Facebook page -
facebook.com/KRFPbroadway)

"Give My Regards to Broadway" is produced live from the KRFP studios in
beautiful downtown Moscow, Idaho and airs Sunday afternoons from 12:00PM -
2:00PM pacific time. Available via online streaming at www.krfp.org The
show was created by Henry Johnston and is co-written/produced from afar by
Kenneth Spicer. It is dedicated to the memory of Neil Cohen, an
inspirational actor, director, writer/producer and most of all - a dear
friend - who was taken from us too soon. I would encourage everyone who
listens to live life by the motto of WWND - What Would Neil Do? The
answer? Live, laugh, love... laugh some more and take in a show now and
then.

All My Best... See you on the radio Sunday!
Henry
