Thursday, May 9, 2013, 7:00pm: "Friends and Robbers: Flowering Plants of the Intermountain West and Their Insect Visitors"
Speaker: Nan Vance, retired Forest Service Research Plant Scientist
Location: Gold Room, Gladdish Community Center, Pullman WA.
The Palouse Prairie Foundation and the White Pine Chapter, Idaho Native Plant Society are sponsoring Nan Vance's colorful and informative program. Nan is a retired US Forest Service Research Plant Scientist. She worked in native plant restoration, conservation and studied the pollination ecology of certain species including the Cypripedium orchids and Brown's peony (Paeonia brownii). After she retired she continued to combine her interest in native plant research with her hobby of field photography. She will have many wonderful slides of the insect visitors to native plants of the area.

The presentation is free and open to the public. For further information please contact Dave Skinner, 208-874-3205.
