Why do you always leave out the fact that he's on probation with a life sentence? Isn't that relevant?

Yes.
Let's hope that, if convicted, this scum is sentenced to something more than one year in jail followed, accompanied with simultaneous unsupervised transportation to out-of-town therapy . . . like a repented kirker, convicted of multiple pedophilia crimes back in 2006, who now resides in Nevada.
Hmmm.

Seeya 'round town, Moscow, because . . .

Assuming this guy is guilty of what they claim, which will be
decided in a court of law, then I agree with you.

I sometimes debate about the overreach of some of the child porn
legislation that has cropped up over the years, such as people
going to jail for cartoon porn of Bart Simpson or for possessing
Japanese manga that features cartoon characters who are underage.
Who is being harmed, I ask? But in this case, again assuming this
person is guilty of what they claim, they should throw the book at
      him.

A 42-year-old Moscow man is being held on a $500,000 bond
after being charged with multiple felonies related to child
sexual abuse and pornography. According to Moscow Police
Chief David Duke, Brian Taylor allegedly photographed and
videotaped a female juvenile and two male juveniles -
between the ages of 5 and 11 - over a period of several
            months.

The original allegation was brought forward by a student who
told her elementary school counselor about inappropriate
touching, photographs, and other activities that had taken
place involving Taylor, according to Duke, who says they
served a search warrant on Taylor's trailer, but only
discovered one picture on a camera. That warrant was served
on May 21st, according to court records.

Investigators then decided to place the child in a forensic
interview with a specialist in Spokane, and it was there
            that more information was divulged.

A second warrant was served on Monday and officers found a
camera hidden on a bookshelf, along with two memory cards
hidden in a bag of rice in Taylor's kitchen. Once the
officers returned to the police department, they discovered
multiple images and videos of child sexual abuse and
pornography and they recognized the alleged victims.

Taylor was arrested Tuesday on three counts of sexual abuse
of a child under the age of 16; sexual exploitation of a
child, possession of child pornography; sexual exploitation
of a child, manufacture pornography; three counts of lewd
conduct with a minor child under 16; rape; two counts of
            male rape; forcible sexual penetration by a foreigh object;
possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; and
possession of drug paraphernalia-meth and marijuana pipes.

Duke says the alleged victims were local, and they "don't
think there are any additional victims."

Meanwhile, a Latah County man who was also being
investigated as part of this case killed himself in late
            May.
