They did find it. You can bring a copy of a government document to a moron, but you cannot make them read. What the Federal Government needs to find is a copy of the Bill of Rights.

How successful of a program can it be? Hell, by now you would have thought they could have found a birth certificate *S*

In many respects it seems as if the terrorists have won. Their goal was to instill fear right? Well the government sure seems afraid.

Surveillance of the kind at issue without responsible and accountable judicial oversight plus secrecy laws preventing the abuses of this surveillance being examined among other things such as a really, really contorted interpretation of the Fourth Amendment indicates gross arrogance of all those willingly participating. Most of us understand what is at stake, but the disallowing of judicial oversight combined with targeting millions and millions for whom there is not probable cause or even articulatable suspicion seems an unwarranted intrusion into personal liberty. No one with mental facilities intact would accuse me of being a Tea Party member. But long experience has shown me that there are LE personnel and similar types inand outside of government whose honesty, integrity, and objectively do no meet the minimum standard. Hence, I do not trust what they say
about what data is being collected, how it is being used, or how safe it is from hacking, intentional leaks, or other noxious uses. I wonder if the President or the legislature is being told the whole truth. Arrogance and the misuse/overuse of power by some that think they know best is at the root of the problem and is at the root of totalitarianism.w.

So it never changes, and the state grabs more and more power. Why should we believe Obama when he says they're not listening to conversations? He promised the most transparent administration, and instead has prosecuted more people under the Espionage Act than all other previous administrations before him. He hasn't prosecuted anyone for torture, but he'll go after anyone who provides information about the torture program. And he's got his own rendition program.Hope and change indeed.

This program does not involve the NSA listening to or recording conversations. But the spy agency is using the data to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.
