Title: Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for August 3rd

July 29, 2013 – Join us Saturday, August 3rd for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Music: At Friendship Square live music will be provided by Daniel Mark Faller at 9:30 a.m.

Special Events: UI Extension Nutrition In A Snap from 8am – noon featuring Food Labels and the Great Moscow Food Drive from 8am – 1pm. Sponsored by the Moscow Human Rights Commission and Latah County Human Rights Task Force, the Great Moscow Food Drive benefits: the Moscow Food Bank; the Trinity Food Pantry; and Sojourner’s Alliance. Food will also be collected at Moscow Safeway. Cash donations also gratefully accepted.

Vendor of the Week: Family Garden featuring varieties of fruits and vegetables that changes depending on the growing season. Highlights include: berries, carrots, corn, cut flowers, green beans, herbs, huckleberries, kale, onions, peas, and salad greens. Family Garden is a new vendor at the Moscow Farmers Market.

At the Market: Now available at the Market: corn by Wilson Banner Ranch and tomatoes by Farmer Phil.

Shop the Market: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.



Come and support Idaho’s oldest Farmers Market by purchasing a stainless steel water bottle or our organic cotton shopping bags.  You can check them out at the City Information Tent.  And, if you need help getting your purchases to your vehicle, try using one of the free market wagons.  Don’t forget the Market is accepting SNAP too!

Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
