[Vision2020] Say What?

I'm sure it's true that the number of undocumented immigrants that run drugs far surpasses the number of valedictorians, but from what I've heard on the news it's not necessarily their fault.  The Mexican drug cartels now own the immigration business.  If you want to sneak over the border, you'd better do it as part of a team led by the drug cartels unless you want to be beaten or killed.  Part of that involves smuggling drugs over the border for them.

Here's a reference:  http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Mexican-drug-cartels-move-into-human-smuggling-3221740.php

'Say what' is right.  That ratio might be too low.  If there is any hard statistical data available comparing the number of undocumented valedictorians (probably a low number) compared to undocumented drug runners, he should cite that to back up his claim.

Then again, to paraphrase you, it could be that the quote below 'IS [his] opinion, nothing more than that.  As a simple opinion, [he] does not find it necessary to justify it to you [or anyone else], ok?'

Or it could just be political rhetoric.

"For everyone who's a valedictorian, there's another 100 out there that weigh 130 pounds and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they're hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert.  Those people would be legalized with the same act."
