[Vision2020] What's This Public Hearing About?

Visionaries,

 

We have an out-of-town visitor & were strolling around downtown last evening
when I saw a notice of a public hearing at the entrance of that parking lot
on Jackson right by Mary Jane Butters' little shop.  I really couldn't tell
much from the posted notice, and tried looking on the City's Web site when
we got home.

 

I did find this, which is nothing more than what I saw posted:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Proposal for Conditional Use Permit 505 S. Jackson Street

Permit Application LUP2013-0014

 

A public hearing at which you may be present and speak will be conducted
before the Board of Adjustment of the City of Moscow at which time the
following proposals will be considered:

 

1. Conditional Use Permit application for an educational institution to use
an existing parking lot for student and employee parking within the Central
Business District MCC 4-3-5(D)(8).

 

HEARING DATE: Tuesday, July 31,2013

 

HEARING LOCATION: Council Chambers on the Second Floor of Moscow City Hall
206 East Third Street, Moscow, Idaho

 

MEETING TIME: 7:00pm

 

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be more information available online  L

 

Does anyone know more about this?

 

It's been awhile, but my recollection of zoning requirements in the CBD is
that something like this really doesn't belong, so I'm trying to learn more.
