Donovan, I’m sorry, but I just got in to this to look at my emails and I didn’t check out anything. If I do get to talk with Cyndi in the morning, I’ll try to find out.

Yes, if it isn't making politicians wealthier at the expense of education, it isn't legislation being passing in Boise. I hope as many people as possible can make it to Applebee's Saturday morning. Sue, find out if people can buy gift certificates that can be applied to that time too.

I’m willing to drop this. Wonder what comes next from Boise? Probably taking those education funds which were left after the laws were rescinded and applying them to whatever loss occurs when the lege abolishes the personal property tax.

An example of legislative neglect for education: This Saturday I have an on-line class and one of the Moscow teachers can’t come because they are doing a fundraising breakfast at Applebees so they can take students on a field trip. When I was teaching the state provided transportation funding for academic field trips. No longer..... So go to Applebees Saturday morning and support your local schools.

I didn' say they were, and it was obvious from the article they weren't doing the questioning, maybe they should thought.

Good. However, if you take another look at your post, it wasn’t KHQ that questioned the Gov.....

I wasn't referring to Shirley's goal, but making point to KHQ that it isn't news that responsible people question Otter. Thousands do it everyday.

Shirley’s goal is not to make news, its to point out significant omissions from the Governor’s budget.

Questioning the Governor of Idaho is not news. Getting an answer that made sense would be though.

ID Dem questions Otter's structural balance claim
BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho Democratic Rep. Shirley Ringo questioned Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter's claim of a structurally-balanced budget.

Ringo is on the budget-writing committee, which Tuesday got its first cursory look at Otter's budget.

The Republican governor's new budget director, Jani Revier, reiterated Otter's assertion his $2.8 billion budget for fiscal year 2014 is in equilibrium - that ongoing expenditures are paid for with revenue that's likely to come in the door annually, not with short-term cash.

Ringo argued state employees are leaving for better-paying jobs and there's a backlog of aging highway infrastructure, challenges she says Otter's budget does nothing to address.

State financial officer David Fulkerson told her Otter's budget focuses on his top priorities, leaving too little money for things like raises for state workers in the next year.
