There's a thought  ...  not only M W F classes for 50 minutes, and T Th 
classes for 75 minutes, the scheduling powers that be could mandate 
classes be offered T Th Sa for 50 minutes, and Th Sa for 75 minutes.  
Better classroom utilization, smaller class sizes, and teachers retain 
the freedom not to be called in via pager to teach a class as if that 
were a malfunctioning commercial mainframe requiring service in the 
middle of a weekend night.
