PRESS RELEASE
City of Moscow City Council to Consider Proposed FY2014 Budget and Fee Resolution

August 2, 2013 (Moscow, Idaho) - On Monday, August 5, 2013 at the 7 p.m. City Council meeting, the proposed FY2014 budget and fee resolution will each be considered for adoption by the City Council after separate public hearing are held for each.

In coordination with the FY2014 budget preparation, Staff has prepared the proposed FY2014 fee resolution which establishes fees and rates charged for all City of Moscow services, programs, and utilities. Fees and rates are assessed based on the cost of the service provided. In the proposed document, fees are generally increased to recover the increased cost of service delivery and its effect on the operations of the City of Moscow.

The proposed FY2014 fee resolution includes adjustments in the rates charged for water and sanitary sewer service. The amount of the adjustments varies by customer class and is based on the recently completed 2013 Water and Sewer Rate Study. The proposed rate adjustments, along with other fee modifications, can be viewed in the draft fee resolution included in the City Council agenda package that is available on the City of Moscow website at www.ci.moscow.id.us<http://www.ci.moscow.id.us>.
