The following U.S. service members died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom combat operations in Afghanistan, confirmed by the Defense Department from April 5, 2013 through April 11, 2013:

Army Spc. Wilbel A. Robles-Santa, 25, of Juncos, Puerto Rico; assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Army Chief Warrant Officer Matthew P. Ruffner, 34, of Tafford, Pennsylvania; assigned to the1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment, 28th Combat Aviation Brigade, 28th Infantry Division, Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania.

Army Spc. Delfin M. Santos Jr., 24, of San Jose, California; assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Army Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Ward, 24, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Army Chief Warrant Officer Jarett M. Yoder, 26, of Mohnton, Pennsylvania; assigned to the1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 104th Aviation Regiment, 28th Combat Aviation Brigade, 28th Infantry Division, Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania.
