Russian photographer Andy Prokh captures cute camaraderie between child and cat Lilu 

The black and white pictures show the adorable friendship between his daughter, Katherine, and the family's British shorthair cat.


Andy Prokh has captured the heartwarming friendship of his little girl and her cat, shown here in "Friendship Home," left, and "Curiosity and Caution."
They are quite the photogenic pair.

Saint Petersburg, Russia-based photographer Andy Prokh, 44, has been chronicling the charming relationship of his little girl and the family's cat in a series of black and white photos. The whimsical and playful pictures feature Prokh's daughter, Katherine, and LiLu Blue Royal Lady, a grey British shorthair cat, doing everything from catching witches to reading.

“You should shoot what you love,” Prokh told the Daily News. “I love these two models very much.”

Prokh said that he has been taking pictures of Katherine, now 4, and 6-year-old LiLu since the little girl was born.


Two more charming black and white photos of Katherine and LiLu: "Paint it Funny," left, and "Bohemian Rhapsody Performed by Cat."
“They live and grow together, I just have to do is press the shutter button on the camera,” Prokh said.

It's clear from the pictures that they have a lot of fun together.


Prokh said he's "always believed a photographer must love what he shoots." It's hard not to love this dynamic duo, shown here in "Champion Jump" and "Saudek's Hiding."
