The following U.S. service members died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom combat operations in Afghanistan, confirmed by the Defense Department from September 7, 2012 through September 13, 2012:
 
Marine Sgt. Bradley W. Atwell, 27, of Kokomo, Indiana; assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
 
Army Sgt. Kyle B. Osborn, 26, of Lafayette, Indiana; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Camp Ederle, Vicenza, Italy.
 
Marine Lt. Col. Christopher K. Raible, 40, of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; assigned to Marine Attack Squadron 211, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
