[Vision2020] Question, V-Peeps . . .

Sure, me, too. In this state we tend to cut and not replace. But I really don’t know why we haven’t signed on to that Internet sales tax compact. It wouldn’t legally be a tax increase because we are all supposed to keep track and report it with our state returns.

Funeral homes is a 'don't care' for me. On-line sales I'm in favor of. Grocery tax, no. I don't think very many states have grocery tax and it's not as if the poor can easily just 'opt out' of buying food. I'd prefer the powers that be find replacement revenue. :)

Sales taxes are all regressive. If we are going to do away with the grocery tax we need to find a replacement....it’s a pretty big share of the sales tax revenue. But if we are going to continue with sales taxes we certainly should tax all services. Yes, even funeral homes. And on-line sales, too.

I'm against grocery tax since it's a regressive tax.
