Maybe Idaho can remain in "big-time" college football as an independent by offering the Vandals as any other teams Homecoming opponent. The home team has a guaranteed win, and Idaho gets a few hundred thousand dollars for being the Washington Generals of college football. (There remains the small problem of luring teams to play in Moscow.) Much better than returning to the oh so "inferior" Big Sky Conference. I watched the EWU-Montana State game that was played in Bozeman yesterday. Great crowd, great enthusiastic fans, and two teams that would whip the Idaho Vandals this year. Oh wait, one of those teams from that inferior conference already did whip the Vandals this year.

So, Idaho loses to Texas State University . . . whose football program is just now entering its third year . . . whose only win this year (before Idaho) was against Stephen F. Austin University. I could probably go over to Good Samaritan Village right now, randomly select eleven octogenarians and put up a good game against Stephen F. Austin University.
Idaho's next opponent is Louisiana Tech, ranked 23rd in the nation!
The week after Louisiana Tech is a bye. I'm favoring the bye by ten points unless Idaho has to actually take te field. Then it's the bye by 27.
Seeya at the polls, Moscow, because . . .
