Thanks for this link. Most of Western Europe is living proof of the the conclusions of this study. Sophisticated sex education (with explicit pictures of loving making, at least in Denmark)has led to low teen births and pregnancies, far fewer STDs, and far fewer abortions.

When I first went to Denmark, porn had just been made legal and there were dozens of porno shops along the famous walking street in Copenhagen. As a serious scholar of human nature I of course had to check them out.  

When I went back for my first sabbatical in 1978-79, half the shops were gone, and on my second sabbatical in 1985-86, what was left was a few in the back streets.  Exports to the USA were still thriving, but the Danes obviously were bored with it just as the men are blase about bare breasts.  Over the years Danish criminologists also found a decline in child rape and molestation.

Would that the US would finally be liberated from its taboos.,

If only conservatives truly cared about reducing the number abortions (about 1.3 million each year), there would be little issue with encouraging more birth control.  Instead they're anti-sex which is why they promote 'abstinence only / no sex in any form whatsoever'.  They feel that sex is only for pro-creation of fertile married couples and that they best not enjoy it while they're at it.  Thus, if you have sex for any reasons other than pro-creation, you should be punished by having unplanned / unwanted pregnancies forced upon you.
