Title: Palouse Plein Air 2012 Winners

Announcing the Palouse Plein Air 2012 competition winners!

1st Place

The first place winner of the Palouse Plein Air competition is Antonin Passemard from Boise, Idaho. The winning entry is titled "The Gypsy Life" and has been purchased by the City of Moscow for the City of Moscow Art Collection.

2nd Place

The second place winner of the Palouse Plein Air competition is Forrest Dickison from Moscow, Idaho. The second place entry is titled "Afternoon Shadows" and has been purchased by Gritman Medical Center.

3rd Place

The third place winner of the Palouse Plein Air competition is Katy Fox from Grand Junction, Colorado. The third place entry is titled "Somebody's Mailbox" and is still for sale.

Best Moscow Downtown/Urban

The Palouse Commercial Real Estate sponsored award for Best Moscow Downtown/Urban recipient of the Palouse Plein Air competition is Matt Brehm from Moscow, Idaho. The entry is titled "Moscow: Alley" and is still for sale.

The Best Historical winner of the Palouse Plein Air competition is Robert Bissett from Naples, Idaho. The entry is titled "UI Barn" and is still for sale.

The Peoples' Choice winner, selected by visitors to the Palouse Plein Air gallery exhibit, is Ryan Law from Moscow, Idaho. The entry is titled "Palouse Patterns" and has been purchased by Gritman Medical Center.

What is Plein Air?  French for "in the open air" used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Plein Air competitions are all about painting outdoors in a specific area or region and then having those paintings exhibited in an art gallery.

Third Street Gallery is located at 206 E. Third Street, Moscow ID hours are M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm.
