Our area schools do a great job in trying to prevent bullying and in-school violence of any kind. However research has shown that many bullying incidents occur that are not reported. Our Task Force members have also heard from parents about problems and confusion related to what is bullying, and what are school policies on this issue.
 
Therefore the Latah County Human Rights Task Force is collecting data and having meetings to gather more information on this issue. You can help by taking the anonymous Safe and Respectful School Survey available at www.humanrightslatah.org and on the facebook page of Latah County Human Rights Task Force. Please also feel try to attend the upcoming Community Meeting with your comments, questions and ideas on Saturday, December 1st at 1pm at the second floor Fiske Room of the 1912 Center. An excellent free documentary entitled, “Bully,” will be show on Monday, December 3rd at 7:00pm at the UI Borah Theatre in the Student Union Building. Thank you for your interest in this important subject.
