Title:  Spring 2013 Art Workshops

November 07, 2012 - The City of Moscow and the 1912 Center & Heart of the Arts, Inc. have partnered to provide art workshops for children and adults this upcoming Spring 2013. These workshops provide not only a day of fun but an opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience in a variety of art fields.

These workshops include: Drawing with Dana Aldis and Painting on Glass with Nancy Attebury.


In Drawing children and adults will each have classes in which they will develop their drawing skills and hand-eye coordination while working from observation (not photographs). Students will learn basic traditional drawing techniques such as line, structure, value/shading and cross-hatching, as well as composition.


Location: 1912 Center
Dates: February 6, 13, 20, 27
Ages: Adult and Children
Instructor: Dana Aldis


Children's Classes
Time: 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Ages: up to 15 years
Min/Max: 4/7
Fee: $128 (all 4 sessions) supplies provided
         or $32 per class (drop in) supplies provided

Adult Classes
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Ages: 15+ years
Min/Max: 4/12
Fee: $152 (all 4 sessions) plus cost of supplies
         or $38 per class (drop in) plus cost of supplies





In Painting on Glass students will have fun while they create brightly colored pictures of animals, flowers, or designs on glass. Students will also be exposed to basics of drawing and painting before they make "eye-catching" pictures. In addition, they will learn about different styles of painting on glass.
No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.

Dates:                   Feb. 16, 23
Time:                    9 a.m. to noon (Saturday)
Fee:                       $60 supplies provided
Drop in:                $30 supplies provided

Min/Max:           4/10

Session 2:
Dates:                   Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26
Time:                    4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Tuesday)
Fee:                       $60 supplies provided
Drop in:                $15 supplies provided

Min/Max:           4/10



Adult Classes

Location:             1912 Center
Age:                       15 + years

Dates:                   Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26
Time:                    6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
Fee:                       $60 supplies provided
Drop in:                $15 supplies provided

Min/Max:           5/12
