RECENT HEAVY RAINS HAVE LED TO SATURATED SOILS AND HIGH RUNNING
RIVERS AND STREAMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF EASTERN WASHINGTON AND THE IDAHO
PANHANDLE. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AND RISING SNOW LEVELS ARE FORECAST
THROUGH THE WEEKEND. RAINFALL RANGING FROM ONE TO TWO AND A HALF
INCHES IS EXPECTED ACROSS EASTERN WASHINGTON AND THE IDAHO PANHANDLE
FROM TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY. THIS PRECIPITATION WILL BRING ADDITIONAL
RISES TO STREAMS AND RIVERS AND POSSIBLY LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING
ALONG CREEKS...STREAMS AND LOW LYING AREAS. THE SATURATED GROUND WILL
ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO AN INCREASED RISK OF MUD OR
LANDSLIDES ON STEEP SLOPES.

THE AREA OF GREATEST CONCERN IS FAR EASTERN WASHINGTON...NORTHERN
IDAHO AND THE PALOUSE REGION. THE LITTLE SPOKANE RIVER AT
DARTFORD...THE COEUR D`ALENE RIVER AT CATALDO...THE ST JOE RIVER AT ST
MARIES...THE PALOUSE RIVER AT POTLATCH...PARADISE CREEK AT MOSCOW...
